1. Research & Modelling Support
For research groups, labs, and individuals who need extra brain-power on:
- Projects related to quantum communication setups
- Designing / analysing protocols and experiments
- Building numerical simulations (e.g. Python/NumPy/QuTiP style workflows)
- Translating between “beautiful theory” and “actually implementable”
What this can look like:
- Short-term collaboration on a specific problem or prototype
- A standing arrangement where I review derivations, code, or drafts
- Help structuring messy ideas into a coherent research plan
2. Teaching & Mentoring (Students)
I started working as a part tutor in 2020 and have enjoyed it since. I work with a small number of students at a time to help them actually understand the material, not just pass the exam. For students who want more than “just pass the exam”.
I can help with:
- understanding concepts in STEM subjects (physics, maths, engineering basics),
- planning how to study or revise,
- breaking down tough topics into manageable pieces,
- feedback on written work (reports, lab work, thesis drafts).
Typical topics:
- Quantum mechanics foundations (with emphasis on information & communication)
- Quantum information / quantum channels / basic error correction ideas
- Maths support: linear algebra, probability, some functional analysis background
This can be:
- 1:1 sessions (online)
- Concept sprints: focused 3–4 week blocks on one topic
- Help designing a self-study roadmap and problem sets

3. Technical Writing & Internal Explain-ers
Sometimes the real bottleneck is: “We did the work, but nobody understands what we did.”
I can help you:
- turn notebooks and email threads into clean internal docs,
- write technical blog posts or overviews for a non-specialist audience,
- prepare slides or diagrams that aren’t just walls of text.
This is especially useful if you’re:
- onboarding new people into a research project, or
- trying to communicate with management or collaborators who aren’t deep in the math.
